Nana Opoku Kwarteng, the father of the late dancehall artiste, Ebony, has disclosed that he initially protested against her music career.
In an interview with KOFI TV, he stated that he wanted his daughter to become a lawyer.
According to him, his daughter pleaded with him to allow her to pursue her music career for just two years.
“Ebony told me to give her just two years to go into music but I did not agree because I wanted her to be a lawyer.
After sometime, I agreed because she assured me she will go back to school, so I did not even go for her things in her Senior High School” he stated.
He added that upon reaching an agreement with her, he blessed her and declared his unflinching support for her choice.
Nana Kwarteng however went on to say that he is still in shock, as he cannot believe his daughter hid secrets from him.
He stated that his daughter never told him about the doomsday prophecies concerning her life.
Though he knew his daughter was bound to die, her time was not due so “whoever is behind it should know that he or she would be judged one day.”
Nana Opoku Kwarteng maintained that Ebony was trained and tamed so she couldn’t have been a bad girl.
She had good parental care no wonder she excelled in her career” he emphatically stated.
He called on Ghanaians to allow Ebony Reigns rest in peace.
