There is trouble brewing for acclaimed dancehall queen Ebony, as she is bound to end up in court for taking event organizers for ‘granted’.

Information reaching YEN.com.gh has it that, the ‘Sponsor’ hitmaker had reached an agreement with K Monsi Ventures to perform at an event in the Volta Region.

To that effect, Ebony was paid a sum of GHC35,000 but she later failed to show up at the show.

In an interview with Joy Prime, the chief executive officer (CEO) of K Monsi Ventures, Mr. Francis Yaw Asare, complained bitterly about the development and disclosed that his company would sue Ebony.

According to him, his company had paid Ebony and was expecting her arrival at the event which was held at Hohoe on January 2, 2018.

Mr. Yaw Asare lamented that it was during some few hours into the event that he had a phone call with the caller informing him that Ebony had been involved in an accident so she wouldn’t make it to the event.

When asked if he was provided proof of the accident, he said “there was nothing like that. No pictures, videos to confirm the accident.”

To salvage the situation, the CEO of K Monsi Ventures disclosed that an emergency meeting was held to find alternative solutions to the situation where monies paid by entrants were refunded to them leading to the show flopping drastically.

This, he said is unacceptable because Ebony had been billed as the headline performer and patrons looked forward to having her at the event.

Even though Ebony is said to have paid back the GHC35,000 cedis she collected, the CEO revealed that his company is set to sue Ebony as a punishment for time wasting, production, equipment cost and other resources as well as damaging their reputation.

“Ebony took us for granted and it shouldn’t be so. We will go to court. We are suing her," Mr. Asare fumed.
