Mr. Opoku Kwarteng, father of late dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns, has expressed his disappointment with beverage company Kasapreko for snubbing Ebony’s one year concert.

Mr. Kwarteng revealed that the one year anniversary for his late beloved daughter which was originally supposed to come off on February 8 has been shifted to March 31, 2019.

He made this revelation during an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon 102.1 FM but was quick to add that he got disappointed after Bullet called to inform him that Kasapreko is not willing to support the one year concert.

According to Bullet, they were not informed early of the plans and thus their reason for not sponsoring the event.

Kasapreko and the late dancehall diva had a contract after she was unveiled as the brand ambassador for Hi5 Choco Malt.

Though the details of the deal have not been made public, it is believed that it was mouth-watering as the deal would have fetched her a sum of $200,000.

According to Mr. Kwarteng, the giant beverage company could have called him to discuss issues with him but rather ignored and chose not to contribute a dime to the one year concert. The concert is however sponsored by Kpoo Keke.

Dancehall diva Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng known in showbiz as Ebony Reigns passed away on February 8, 2018.

On March 24, 2018, her funeral was held at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

Ebony was traveling with three other people from Sunyani, two of whom have also died. They were her friends — Frankie Kuri and Atsu Vondee, a soldier. It was the driver of the Jeep that survived the crash.

Bullet and Mr. Kwarteng were locked in a duel last year over proceeds from the Vigil Concert which was held on 23rd March 2018 in honour of the dancehall diva.
