Ebony’s mother, Elizabeth Opong Martin, has revealed the meaning behind the name, Nana Hemaa, which was given to the late musician.

In a report by MyNewsGH.com, she stated that Ebony’s father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, gave the name to his daughter when she was born to symbolise greatness and excellence.

She revealed that Nana Kwarteng prophesied that his daughter would be a great woman someday.

“Her father prophesied upon her life when he first saw her. He said that she would be called Nana Hemaa, because he sees a crown oh her head”, Ebony’s mother revealed. Elizabeth Martin made the stunning revelation during her interview with Kwame Adinkra on Abusua FM’s morning show, “Abusua Nkomo”.

Ebony, born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, lost her life in an vehicular accident on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Two others, Franky Kuri, her Personal Assistant and Lance Corporal Francis Atsu Vondee, who served as her security man, also lost their lives.

The driver of the Jeep in which they were travelling, is however on admission at the Bechem Government Hospital. Ebony’s final funeral rites would be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
