Sports presenter, Patrick Osei Agyeman, popularly known as Countryman Songo, has labelled Ghanaians “hypocrites” following the overwhelming turnout at Ebony’s one week memorial.

His remarks were premised on the fact that the dancehall diva was vehemently criticized for her risqué on-stage acts and suggestive performances.

“They didn’t like her music, they didn’t like the way she was dancing, and they were talking trash about her,” he argued.

Songo, who could hardly control himself at the memorial was still in shock by the sudden departure of his dear friend said he knew “by now, she’s resting in the hands of the Almighty.”

In an interview with www.Ghanaweb.com, the controversial figure said he still felt Ebony had more to give but he could hardly question God’s decision to reclaim her life.

The memorial was held at the St Martin de Porres School, Dansoman on Sunday February 18 and saw thousands in attendance.

Ebony, known in real life as Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, died in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway – a few days before she was scheduled to start a European tour.

A military officer and a female acquaintance identified as Francis Atsu Vondee and Frankie respectively, who were also on board the Jeep which clashed with a VIP bus died as well.

Meanwhile, Ebony’s family has announced that their beloved will be buried on March 17, 2018. Venue for the event, according to the family will be announced later.
