The Mortuary man who was accused of fondling and videoing the stark naked dead body of Ebony and her friend Franky Kuri has spoken up for the first time since the issue broke. He said it is never true that he shot the video to share on social media.
He said when Ebony was alive and reigning, he admired and respected her for her talent and would never have done what he was accused of. He revealed he has been through a lot since the incident and it took the support and advice of his friends and pastors to keep him going.
“It’s never true that I fondled Ebony and it will never be true till Christ comes. I am a grown up person and will never do such a thing. I was only pointing the injury part as I was being commanded to do and there was no way I would make fun of Ebony and her friend. Ebony was a star and I respect her a lot” he told JoyNews as mynewsgh.com observed.
“After the issue happened, a lot of people encouraged me to move on because I was embarrassed and annoyed. My pastors and all loved ones continue to support me. We have a mortuary workers association and they are all supporting me and so I’m not perturbed because i know the truth will one day come out” he noted.
Ghanaians on social media and the general public who heard of the leak of Ebony’s mortuary nakedness demanded a swift, deterrent punishment for the mortuary attendants who captured the naked body of late Dancehall Songstress Ebony and her friend Franky Kuri to share on social media.
Ebony, born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, died in a tragic accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road with two others after paying a visit to her mother who had returned from the United Kingdom.
Ebony is due to be buried on 24th March, 2018 while her good friend Franky Kuri has already been buried.
