Legendary Ghanaian high-life musician, Okyeame Kwame, has been honoured by the Ministry of Education with support from the Ghana Education Service, the Ghana Broadcasting Cooperation and United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The plague of honour for his contribution towards the Ghana Radio Learning program was presented to him during an online virtual meeting with the Education Minister Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, United States Ambassador, Her Excellency Stephanie Sulivan and other stakeholders.
In a social media post to acknowledge what he described as a huge priviledge, the Made in Ghana crooner dedicated the award to World Reader Global for introducing him to reading and literacy advocacy.
He also dedicated the award to all children who encounter countless challenges with learning during this COVID-19 pandemic and promised to gather his resources to promote the Ghanaian reading agenda.
