Recently, there have been claims that King Paluta, whose song has been prominently featured by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in their campaigns, has been handsomely rewarded by the party.
Rumours suggest that the 'Makoma' hitmaker has received a mansion in East Legon and a luxurious vehicle.
In an interview with Okay FM's Abeiku Santana, host of 'Ekwansodwodwo,' King Paluta addressed these rumors.
When asked if he had received such rewards, he responded with laughter, saying, "We are looking forward to that."
King Paluta clarified that the NPP is not using his song specifically for their campaign but merely plays it at campaign events.
He noted, "Every political party uses this song; it’s not just the NPP. In any case, the song is out there and accessible to everyone. Even mechanics play the song at their workshops."
He further emphasised that the song is not exclusive to the NPP, mentioning that he has seen other political parties using it during their campaigns.
"I have seen videos where other political parties are jamming to the song,” he retorted.
Background:
Recently after engaging and vibing with NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, King Paluta has either made appearances or had his songs featured prominently at the party’s campaign events.
This involvement has sparked criticism from some netizens who are disappointed in his act of aligning himself with politics just at the peak of his career.
