The Electoral Commission (EC) headed by Jean Mensa, has been described as a stubborn institution which has failed to respect contributions from its stakeholders.

Lawyer Amaliba also stressed that there is no problem with the current voters' register and therefore finds the current posture of the EC on the issue fishy.
Meanwhile, the Leader of United Front Party (UFP), Dr. Agyenim Boateng also speaking to the host, Abena Opokua Ahwenee, added his outfit is also against the introduction of a new register as he sees it as a way to manipulate the 2020 general elections by the ruling party.
He confirmed there will be a demonstration in Tamale on Saturday by opposition parties to protest against the stand of the EC to have a new voters register.
