Come Saturday, April 8, some of Ghana?s finest gospel musicians will be hosted at the M Plaza Hotel from 6pm to 10pm in a concert dubbed ?Evening of gospel melodies?.

The concert which to raise funds to support the Lepers of the Weija Leprosarium is being organised by the Lepers Aid Committee in conjunction with Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and Ultimate Media .

Artistes who will mount the stage are Noble Nketia, Gospel Artiste of the Year 2005, Amy Newmann, Mary Ghansah, Nii Okine, Okassa Lamptey, Pastor Josh Laryea and Bernice Offei.

The concert is also to help create awareness among the Ghanaian public that people cured of the disease are not likely to infect people around them. Rather they need love and care.

The lepers who live at the Weija Leprosarium have been cured of their disease yet they have been abandoned by their relatives out of ignorance and superstition.
