Actor Bill Asamoah has asked movie producers in Ghana to embrace the digital age to help rake in income from their movies in order to help in the growth of the industry.

According to him, the digital age is real and any individual producer who has failed to embrace the change and is stacked in the past should embrace it.

The Darling Boy of Kumawood in an interview with A1 Radio’s Kofi Asante said “we are not in the digital age and every producer who has migrated from depending on sales of CDs to embrace the digital age is reaping. So movie producers need to embrace the change”.

He indicated that movie premiering has come to salvage the industry because producers can also tap into it in order to make some income from it.

Speaking on whether Kumawood was competing with the Glamour movies, he indicated that there is no competition between Kumawood and Glamour movies but indicated that Kumawood enjoys massive support from Ghanaians because they see themselves in the movies.
