Empire Entertainment doesn’t owe us an apology – Halifax Ansah Addo

Manager of Ga musician, Nii Funny; who also doubles as a Journalist; Halifax Ansah Addo has explained that Empire Entertainment doesn’t owe his artiste an apology.

According to him, Empire Entertainment rather owe Ghanaians an apology. He made this revelation on the Prime Time News on FNN with Pamela Boateng on Wednesday evening.

It will be recalled that earlier in the week, Nii Funny shared his disappointment on his Facebook timeline about how Empire Entertainment; organizers of the annual Ghana meets Naija concert denied him of performing with a nine year old girl during last year’s concert but allowed a minor like DJ Switch to perform during this year’s concert. Due to this, Nii Funny has tagged the organizers of the concert as being ‘biased.’

Speaking in the interview, Halifax stated that their rant is not to demand an apology from Empire Entertainment rather; the organizers owe an explanation to Ghanaians as to why they didn’t allow a minor to perform last year but allowed a minor to perform this year.

According to him, there are unanswered questions that the organizers need to explain.

Halifax, further stated that this whole rant is not about his artiste Nii Funny; and that Empire Entertainment needs to make clear their policy on children; a policy on underage children performing on stage. He quizzed; ‘Was it a sabotage to make Nii Funny look poor on stage?’

The 7th edition of the annual Ghana Meets Naija concert came off on Saturday May 27th 2017 at the Accra International Conference Center.

Thousands of patrons thronged the Conference Center to be thrilled with performances by young DJ Switch, Shatta Wale, M.anifest, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Falz, among others.

This event has been touted as the most successful event on the Ghanaian entertainment calendar.
