Nigerian social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman, is calling on the federal government of Nigeria and Nigerians to quickly put an end to the ongoing ten-day national protest over hunger and harsh living conditions.

According to Verydarkman, he fears that judging from the events that have happened so far as a result of the protest, it is likely the protest can plunge the country into a civil war.

“Dear Nigerian youth, I beg, nobody should come out and protest again. I know a lot of you are not observant, but if you watch what is happening in Kano and Kaduna, you will know it is not rocket science. Something is about to hit the country.

“If we check, there are some protestors burning the Nigerian flag and flying Russian flags. How they got that Russian flag is not a coincidence. They held the Russian flag in Kano, Kaduna, and in Jos and I don’t think it is a coincidence, there is someone behind it,” Verydarkman said in a live video on TikTok.

He warned protestors against calling for the military to intervene and end the governance of President Tinubu.

He said, “I saw another video where the people were chanting that they wanted the military to intervene. This is one of the reasons why I think something is going on, and I don’t know why, but I think someone is sponsoring them. To the youth, I beg for our own good, let’s quit the protest.”

The activist also called on the presidency to enforce a state of emergency to halt the protest and prevent the protest from escalating into a civil war.
