Some celebrities have condemned recent reports of slave trade in Libya, urging authorities to help curb the cruel act.

Pictures of slave markets and gross abuse of black Africans are awash on social media after CNN uncovered the fledging human trade in the North African country.

The horrible images show some migrants being sold for $400 while others are tortured to death by individuals in Libyan military wears.

While wrapping up his interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Wednesday, Obrafour added his voice to the many who have spoken against the act.

“They should end that cruelty. It doesn’t speak well of Africa at all. I’m against slavery,” he said.

In series of tweets, actress, Ama K. Abebrese also expressed her displeasure and called on international organisations and agencies to “come together to eradicate slavery forever”.

Meanwhile, dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has released a song titled, ‘Libya’ to that effect.
