CHELSEA stars spent a staggering £120,000 on booze during a night out to celebrate a TEETOTAL team-mate's birthday.

Blues captain JOHN TERRY forked out £60,000 at SALOMON KALOU's party - and didn't drink a drop himself.

He also gave waitresses at the club venue a £10,000 tip before driving home in his Bentley.

Even non-drinking Ivory Coast striker Kalou, 24, spent a wallet-busting £34,000.

Between them the 30-strong group, which included MICHAEL BALLACK, DIDIER DROGBA, MICHAEL ESSIEN and PAULO FERREIRA, ordered 30 bottles of Dom Perignon champagne and tenbottles of Patron tequila at London's Whisky Mist.

Essien coughed up £20,000 for a methusalah of Dom Perignon - the equivalent of eight bottles.

Other players chipped in for special Quaich Trophy cocktails at £400 each.

The superstars, who were surrounded by girls all night, hired the entire VIP area of the Mayfair hotspot - even forcing PRINCE HARRY to settle for a table in the main part of the club.

But Harry, 24, did his bit and bought the birthday boy a drink.

An onlooker said: "The Chelsea team had reserved the VIP area for the night, so Harry wasn't able to book his usual booth.

"But he didn't seem to have any hard feelings about it, and even sent a bottle of champagne to Salomon."
