Event 'wahalas' From 020 Live to Dr. Cryme's Xposure Party

Oh Lovely people of our dear industry I am so glad to be back in my seat and analyzing issues on a lighter note.

I was away for a while because someone wanted to take my girlfriend away from me so I decided to pay a visit to a shrine in Togo and go and “juju” him so he would leave my girlfriend alone but I am back and I still have my girlfriend (but that doesn’t mean I am not open to new avenues, if you are a nice lady and you think you love me feel free, after all sharing is caring”.

Whilst I was away a lot of things took place behind me and there is no way I would let them go, so this week I have decided to take a critical look at some of the events my spy witnessed and put things in the right places. So here we go;

I will definitely start from the 020 Live show because they seem to be receiving praises from all ends (but not me, never). Rockstar 4000 is not a new company but is new in our industry so they should at least show some respect. How can they just come and disgrace Cheater Mouse (Charter House) like that.

I heard of the splendiferous treat they gave to the artistes and their various crews (what nonsense, we like our Charterhouse like that, whether they are the best or not, you can’t just come and disposition them like that).

Now let me get to the show itself, first of all somebody please give me a pair of scissors so I can “depenistate” those Ruff n Smooth boys, why are those two guys still performing like high school brats. I thought we had gone pass bringing a couple of senseless and aimless girls to just shake their bums with no organization or formation whatsoever and scream along.

Enough of them, I can see they clearly refuse to be wise and that is not my fault. Now to 4x4, well not bad at least they were wise enough to complement the Vodafone colors with their outfit, none of the other artistes had that same wisdom; their performance was on an average especially if you decide to compare it to that put up by the Nigerian duo.

I think the Lynx folks did us proud as a country especially the first lady (my a##, which president is he married to, she doesn’t even have a boyfriend) Eazzy, her performance was thrilling and refreshing, nothing like the crap put up by fellow compatriot Tiffany, I think that girl is on some Techiman weed (I don’t even want to go there, I will have a special piece for her alone).

Those guys from MO Hits are clearly loosing it (what the hell did they think they were doing, especially Wande Coal and whatever Prince he thinks he is, what unmitigated nonsense!) Honestly I think booing at them was the least we could have done, the crowd should have gone “Jackie Chan” or better still “soirée” on them.

What insolence! Thinking you can make fun of us because you have a fan base, to hell with them. Richie was good on the day with his outfit and all and his dancers were on point.

Timaya was cool and so was Ikechuku (who went about showing his “fianga” body thinking it was sexy and all that: “The god’s must be crazy”). Ok! P Square stole the show and so what (but come to think of it, if they stole the show, why haven’t they been arrested, what at all is wrong with our police and other law enforcing agencies).

It is not our fault that our fellow African artistes have advanced so much than all our artistes, we are getting there, bit by bit (our “ecomini” is resilient so we are a little bit slow in catching up, give us time and we will definitely get there).

Sarkodie was good on the day but was clearly affected by the unnecessary and useless reportages that had descended on him after making that seemingly controversial statement (but he is not lying, there is no way I will listen to “Fiifi” I would rather listen to Sarkodie, let me free my mind this is showbiz). On the whole I am reliably informed that the event was greatly successful.

Welcome Rockstar 4000(but be careful how you throw your weight around because one slim slip and my people would descend on you like fire”. Then the display of stupidity and irrationality put up by the bouncers at Aphrodisiac was brought to my notice (ABA! You see it is one thing to be stupid and be aware of it but to be stupid and be ignorant at the same time OMG!

They are brutish and should be dealt with as such, messing around with our celebrities because of Nigerians or whatever. It is simply startling but I don’t blame them, education is the key.)

Ok, Now to Cryme’s exposure party, the turn up was impressive but I never knew that T.E.M.A people still party like high school lads. What the hell were those guys still doing in their cars “CAMRYs not even Chryslers” blowing horns and playing loud music. “Hey (dumb ass) we are grown ups not kids, get out of that car”.

I hate it when people continually blow their horns and don’t leave up to expectations. And if you know the owner of Barcadis please tell him to buy more air conditions or declare the club a “HELL PREPATORY GROUNDS” where you can go and learn how to deal with the heat when you get to hell.

The performances from the major arts were amazing but those from the upcoming artistes ware so appalling (these guys should be performing to Junior High School kids not at an exposure party for someone the caliber of D. Cryme. Anyway my support goes out to the brother, he is a nice dude and might end up snatching my girl (but with my “juju from Togo” I am not disturbed at all).

Stone was definitely good on the night and Sarkodie was great as well. The Talented Kids ended this past week and I think is a great concept, one that should be maintained to encourage creativity and the nursing of talents in our junior brothers and sisters. I hope this is not another “Mentor Scenario” great Season One and then it dies as the seasons roll on.

Congratulations to Armani (CITI FM) for winning the celebrity of the month and happy birthday brother. Once again Thank you very much for staying with me through out this broadcast, till I come your way again, the name is and will always be “Africa’s Finest” Ephraim Amoo II, host of your weekly broadcaster, have a wonderful day.
