Samini,reggae-dancehall artiste
Renowned reggae-dancehall artiste , Samini has taken shots at current government for neglecting the inhabitants of the Northern sector of Ghana .
According to him , he has seen governments come and go but none have considered the developments of the northern pat of Ghana.
The ‘Linda’ hit maker lamented that the people living in the upper west region always vote for change of government but no development has taken effect in the lives of the inhabitants .
He added that , government has not taken any step to change the livelihoods of the people in Upper West . He further stated that , people in upper west or the northern sector of Ghana lacks basic needs like water and electricity .
Samini took to his twitter handle to express his disappointment at current and previous government for neglecting the northern sector of Ghana.
This looks to be a call to the current president of Ghana , Nana Akufo-Addo to have a rethink to come to the aid of the inhabitants in the northern regions .
For all these years I’ve known myself as a northerner from upper west region all my people have seen us change of governments but not change in livelihoods. We still don’t have basics needs like water and electricity. We still drink drying waters and see through the dark. When ????
