Contemporary highlife musician Dada Kwaku Duah, known in showbiz as Dada KD, has revealed that he will be tying the knot soon.
He indicated that he was yet to marry because he needed to put himself in order before taking “that important decision to marry”.
Speaking on Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra100.5FM, hosted by Nana Romeo, on Tuesday June 20, the Fathia Fata Nkrumah singer said: “I am not desperate to marry but I will definitely marry.
“I don’t want to marry and cheat on my wife and so I want to take my time and do whatever I am doing now before I marry.”
Touching on wealth creation in the music industry, Dada KD entreated his colleague musicians who are struggling to make ends meet to broaden their scope to make income from other other sources.
He said: “If you are a highlife musician, that should not zip your mouth. You can extend your wings to other genres and that will fetch you some money. If you limit yourself to just one style, it won’t help you. Music is serious business and so musicians must approach it with all seriousness.
“It is about time we restructured the music industry to pay musicians well when they perform.
“Some people are very famous in the industry but are hungry and that serves as a disincentive to others who want to enter the music industry.”
He added: “I will want to tell my fans to expect a hit song from me this year. It will not be a highlife song but it will be hit.”
