FLASH BACK: Becca introduces her mother to Ghanaians

In the past few days, Ghanaian musician Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong, popularly called Becca has been in the news for the wrong reasons.

A series of exposes from her mother, madam Julie Yiadom-Oti during an interview with Ghanacelebrities have triggered lots of anger and mixed reactions on social media.

Becca's mother confirmed in the interview that, her own daughter and her Nigerian husband have branded her a witch.

According to madam Julie Yiadom-Oti, the root of her disagreement with the couple revolved around the fact that she warned her daughter to be prudent when it comes to finances, which apparently has angered her husband.

The couple has banned Madam Yiadom-Oti from seeing her grandchild though the baby was delivered months ago in Canada.

It’s conventional of Africans that the mother of a woman who gives birth plays a pivotal role in the early days or weeks after the child is born—sometimes bathing the new grandchild and teaching the new mother how to take care of the baby.

Ghanaians shocked about the revelation have been asking questions. Moreso because in October 2017, the musician publicly showed her mother to Ghanaians at her 10th anniversary concert.

Some are wondering if the public display of affection by the musician on stage was all fake?.
