Face of Tertiary 2011 Set To Rollout

Ghana's premier beauty pageant targeted at tertiary institutions, the FACE OF TERTIARY beauty pageant is set to rollout soon kicking off with the official launch of this year's event on Friday,17th July at the Labadi Beach Hotel.

The vision of the event is to select one of the Queens from the Nation's Tertiary Institutions as an Ambassador of Anti Child Labour to combat and intensify the campaign against Child Labour in Ghana through the implementation of Child Labour Project Work written by the University of Education.

This year, the participating schools include the University of Ghana Legon, University of Cape-Coast, Institute of Professional Studies, Ghana Institute of Journalism, University of Education Winneba, Presbyterian University, Accra Polytechnic, Takoradi Polytecnic, Cape Coast Polytechnic, Wa Polytechnic, Sunyani Polytechnic, Koforidua Polytechnic, Zenith College, Bolgatanga Polytechnic, Tamale Polytechnic, University of Development Studies, Catholic University, All Nations Uiniversity, Data Link University, Jayee University, University College of Management Studies, NAFTI, Islamic University, Ho Polytechnic, Garden City University College, Ghana Institute of Languages, wisconsin University

There will be 13 weeks of TV reality shows on three TV stations and series of evictions to select the final 15 for the grand finale which is slated for September at the Accra International Conference Center. The winner of this year's competition will represent Ghana at World Miss University at South Korea in addition to an attractive cash prize and also drive home away with a brand new car.

Unlike other pageants, face of Tertiary is contested by only Institutional Queens to represent their respective Institutions.

Face of Tertiary 2011 is organized by Brein Consult in collaboration with the Ministries of Women and Children's Affairs, Employment and Social Welfare, Faisude Entertainment and BUZZGH Communications with the aim of unifying all the Tertiary Institutions in the country under one umbrella to help curb the ascendance of child labour in Ghana.
