Bibiani (W/R), Sept. 27, GNA - A Bibiani Magistrate Court has sentenced Awudu Abubakar, a farmer, to six months imprisonment in hard labour for pouring urine on a policewoman at Bibiani. He pleaded not guilty.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector A.C. Frimpong told the court presided over by Mr Dickson Emmanuel Darketsey, that on September 9, this year, Abubakar on remand at the Bibiani Police cells picked a quarrel with an inmate of the cells.

He said the complainant, Christian Duagbor, who was on duty at the station, advised the accused to stop quarrelling but he (accused) took offence.

The prosecution said Abubakar took some urine from a container in the cells and poured it through the iron bars on the policewoman in uniform.

He said a report was made and after investigations, the accused was arraigned before the court. 27 Sept. 05
