The death of Ebony has really affected the growth of the dance hall art in Ghana, since it’s a path few female artistes dare to take.

She has undoubtedly left a gap that will take some time to be filled. Hence her death will really influence the Entertainment industry.

The news of Ebony’s death really shocked the whole entertainment industry. She was taunted the queen of dancehall by many due to the potential and vibe in her songs.

A day could not pass without Ebony’s songs playing on the radio. She had cleared her throne for herself.

Ebony's accident was so unfortunate and at a time where the female dominance in the entertainment was starting to grow.

Ebony's educational background is the reason behind her passion for music. Her quest for education began at Seven Great Princess Academy in Dansoman, Accra.

It was here where she developed her interest in music back in Senior High School. She attended Methodist Girls High School in the Akuapim North District of the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Ebony used to sing to her friends and family who crowned her with the title ‘Queen.’ Little did they knew that they were ushering in Ghana’s next big thing in the entertainment industry.

After her studies, she was not shy to pursue her career in music after being supported by her parents. Ever since the Ebony Ghana musician dropped massive tunes like ‘dancefloor’ and ‘kupe’ which become fan favorites we knew it was a fact she was going places.

When it came to Ebony’s songs, she really put in the effort and hard work in order to give us the masterpiece. Despite being a newbie in the industry, her debut her songs battled for airplay alongside big names in the industry.

By the grace of God, she finally met Bullet who was blown away by the potential and zeal that was oozing from the upcoming star. It did not take long before she hit the studio and kept producing massive tunes after another. It took a short time before her songs received massive airplay on the radio stations.

Later on, Ebony awards started piling up. In 2016, her hit song ‘dancefloor’ won the best dancehall video during the Bass Awards. She also bagged the Artiste of the Year during the awards. During the People’s Celebrity Awards, she won the Favorite Female Musician. She was also nominated for many awards such as Unsung Artiste of the Year, Most Influential Artiste and Discovery of the Year during the Jigwe Awards.

Ebony latest song ‘Konknonsa Police’ was released by her record label in order to mark her 21st birthday.

Ebony performed during the 4syte Music Video Awards and the performance was nothing less of jaw dropping. With her killer moves and electric performances she really had cut a name for herself. She had an outspoken personality which was revered by her enemies but loved by her fans. She also spoke out her heart in all her songs. Ebony dresses really revolutionized the way female artists dressed.



Ebony Reigns life story was however cut short on the fateful day that saw us lose one of our own ‘dancehall queen.’ Many fans expressed their deepest sympathy to the family on the loss of their golden girl who was to take the dancehall scene in Ghana to the next level.



Her departure has really left a huge space in our hearts and in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. But we are grateful even with the little time we have gotten used to her, it has been worth it. Her songs will forever linger in our minds and hearts. She ushered other female artists to believe in themselves. We will forever remember her and her legacy.
