The Chief Executive Officer of Remedi Entertainment, a media-related firm which deals with Artiste Management and Music Promotion, Dan Lartey has said some artiste managers mostly the men are unable to draw the line between business and dating female artistes they managed.

The regular pundit on Kasapa Entertainment shared as his opinion that mostly artiste managers think they have invested so much in the female artistes so the only alternative to recoup their investments if the artiste is not bringing money to the management firm is to be in a relationship with them.

Dan Lartey told host of the show, Eddie Ray he has managed so many female musicians but had no love relationship with them because he was interested in the business aspect of the contract he signed with them.

“Every love comes with an agenda so there is absolutely nothing wrong with an artiste dating his or her manager. I’ve managed so many women in the music industry but I never had an interest in any of them because I took it as business.”

To him, signing a music management deal with a female artiste should strictly be business and not love affair which can later jeopardize the work of the musician and also the manager.

“I saw the artiste management as a business because the artiste saw me as an experienced manager and approached me to help them achieve their aim in music. There was no love or dating clause in the management deal I signed with them but that doesn’t mean in the course of managing the female artiste and I have interest in her, I shouldn’t express it.

“The problem we have as artiste managers is that we are unable to differentiate between the work and love.” Dan Lartey said on Kasapa Entertainment
