The wife of the late Fennec Okyere, Amaki, and her family will hold a thanksgiving service a week after the burial of the music producer and manager.
Madam Mirekua, spokesperson for the Amaki family, confirmed to Hitz FM that the family has decided to have a private thanksgiving service on Sunday May 4.
Mrs Amaki Okyere was married to Fennec for some months and were blessed with a son but were reported to have been seperated before his untimely death.
Fennec was killed at his Manet Gardens residence on the Spintex Road, Accra on Thursday, March 13 by unknown assailants. He died at age 31.
Madam Mirekua stated that the significance of the service was to thank God for a successful burial since they were not allowed to attend the funeral.
She said, “We are just going to thank God for a peaceful burial because we didn’t get the chance to go for the funeral.”
The spokesperson also said that the service will be a private event for the family.
