Ho, Dec. 30, GNA - The quick response of the Ghana Natiuonal Fire Service in Ho last Monday saved a drinking spot at Anlorkordzi from complete devastation.

It took the firemen about 10en minutes to bring the fire under control following a distress call, Mr Michael Katako, Operations Officer at the Fire Station told the Ghana News Agency.

He said the cause of the fire was being investigated. Mr Katako however cautioned the public to always check their electrical fittings and appliances and switch them off when not in use. Mr. Emmanuel Adzigbli, the owner of the drinking spot, said he was baffled about what could be the cause of the fire because he had for the past seven months not credited his pre-paid electricity metre and he had not operated the spot for some time now.

He said items destroyed were 20 crates of drinks, one freezer, sound system, plastic chairs and an ice chest.
