Popular television host, Israel Laryea, has fired back at Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, following the latter’s description of a report he did on Menzgold as a mark of “stupidity and retarded mindedness”.
Nana Appiah Mensah, mostly known as NAM 1 in a post on instagram accused Israel Laryea of embarking on a smear campaign against him. Israel Laryea who has been in the UK in the past few weeks, visited the UK branch of Menzgold to ascertain the authenticity of a claim by the company’s CEO that a new wing of the company had been commissioned to operate in that country.
According to the report by the veteran broadcaster, there isn’t much to convince anyone that the Ghanaian company had indeed taken up an office in the popular Berekely Square House building in England except for the sight of two black ladies, whom he presumed to be Ghanaian during his visit to the purported Menzgold England office.
An angry Nana Appiah in his post told the journalist to “set up a provision store today in a kiosk and employ just one Ghanaian,” a move the businessman claims “is more than the pursuit of this evil smear campaign agenda.”
But Israel Laryea is not lying flat.
In a response to the post by the embattled businessman, Israel Laryea advised that NAM 1 focuses on the existing state of his company rather than engage in the trading of insults on social media.
His post read, “No need for insults, Mr. Appiah-Mensah. If the people who are jittery about losing their funds do this, I can understand. You need to focus on and figure out how to best manage the situation. I’m not SEC, neither am I BoG, just a journalist sharing my observation. #FOCUS!”
