Many have complained bitterly about the state of “Mentor 6” that it has totally lost the kind of excitement and verve it possessed when it started.

Speaking on the issue Kesse , a representative of Ghana in the last years’ Project fame in Nigeria, also a product of “Mentor“ has revealed to Flex Newspaper that he hasn’t had much time to watch the current mentor but was not impressed about the performances in the three episodes he watched.

“I will say I have only watched 3 of the episodes of the mentor and I will say out of the three that I have watch only the opening was motivating. The rest of the two are not so interesting, but lots of people have been calling to update me” he said. He added that from the few episodes he has watched, he could conclude that the show is not as competitive as it used to be.

“I think next time; a very stiff audition has to be done to get more excellent representatives in the house since that is missing in this year’s Mentor”

Talking about his experience in the regular visits to Nigeria, he stated that apart from 5five”s music and some of the old songs like V.I.Ps song, Mzbel, Tic-tac no current Ghana music is being played on any of the Nigerian airwaves. Giving his personal reasons to that, he noted that there are lots of factors to that, but the major one is that Ghanaian musicians don’t do strategic promotion like the Nigerian Musicians do.

Secondly, he thinks the efforts put into the Nigerian video clips also help their music to get to the peak point. To kesse , because of what he has learnt, he has decided not to shoot a video which can’t reach the DSTV standard and also work on a tight promotion on his album with the help of project fame before his album will be fully released onto the market.

Kesse who has recorded an Azonto song and other singles to keep his fans waiting for his album titled “ Prodig” said he will definitely release the album this year but the Azonto is just to create awareness of his coming.

He also promised his fans to win an award this year at the upcoming Ghana Music Awards.
