Four months students of Riohs Originate add glamour & style to the 7th Edition of Joie De Vivre

It was a night filled with spectacle views, poet from Ghana’s top gun, music from Ghana’s finest band, the Fra Band and sensational fun at the 7th Edition of Joie De Vivre which took place at Alliance Francaise on 30th May 2019.

Fashion pandits have viewed Joie De Vivre as one of the classic shows to be organized by one of the Best Fashion Schools in Ghana that trains individuals to become fashion designers in just six (6) months.

Joie De Vivre is a 3-hours exciting event that brings together fashion, poetry, live music and blending colors to celebrate the evolution of style.

Uniquely cut and stitched patterns stylized into leading- edge costumes by Riohs Originate’s four (4) months students will be cat walked by the students. The idea is to explore how the creatives “embody” their own art in full spirits of charisma to connect with the audience.

It is a way to encourage all our students to take the course they are pursuing at Riohs Originate serious and also to let them have a feel in the journey of becoming a renowned fashion designer The show witnessed more than five hundred (500) guest in attendance with most of them being fashion enthusiast, family and friends of students, observers from the Alliance Francaise community and some dignitaries from corporate institutions.

Mr. Richard Ohene Sika who is the Talent Manager responsible for nurturing, coaching and grooming the students indicated that he was impressed with the combination of fabrics by the students, designs and ultimately the creative exhibition of the students.

He indicated that the event has improved significantly because of the focus in ensuring that right from the first three months in class, students are challenged to be unique in their outputs.

He noted that each year the style of the show changes, thanks to the team which make the show happen. He gave credits to Mr. Kofi Gyedu (Department Head of Fashion Illustration) for setting the platform right from the student’s participation in the Mock Exhibition which formed the basis to designing two (2) garments for the Joie De Vivre Show.

Mr. Ohene Sika noted that there are plans in place to push the Joie De Vivre Show into a massive competitive fashion event show which will be opened to other Fashion Schools in Ghana and most importantly other students from these institutions to showcase their talent.

He indicated that the long-time plan is for the show to be accepted like “Riohs Show” which won award as the Best Fashion Event in 2018 beating other shows within the same period.

Riohs Originate has established itself as the Best Fashion School in Ghana providing six months tuition in fashion design and illustration. The Company is credited and noted for stating the six (6) months course in Fashion Design and Illustration.

This was started about ten years ago and others have followed the path. The Company has been recognized for its outstanding impact in churning out professional Fashion Designers in Ghana and beyond.

The Company won the topmost fashion industry award for Best Fashion School in Ghana at the 2019 Edition of Fashion Ghana Honours and Awards.
