Freda Baffour Awuah popular know as “Freda Rhymz”, has said, the late Afro-Dancehall musician, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, also known as ''Ebony Reigns'' was someone, she really looked up to, in the early stages of her music career.
The winner of the 2017 edition popular music reality show, MTN Hitmaker, has carved a niche in the Ghanaian music circles, as she is known as the “Queen of Rap”, for her smooth flow.
The ''Jammin'' hitmaker also referred to as ''Saa Chicki No'' in an interview with GNA Entertainment, revealed her admiration for Ebony, as he has been a source of motivation in her musical endeavors.
“I really liked Ebony's music and she was someone I looked up to, because she comes with the same energy, I do come up on stage with,'' Freda Rhymz told GNA Entertainment at the launch of the seven edition of the Hitmaker music reality show.
She further reiterated her desire to thrive in very competitive music circles, largely dominated by men.
“The truth is that, there is a heavy male domination in the Ghanaian music circles, but I think women can be equally successful in this industry if they continue to produce back to back hit, which would keep them vibrant and active,” she ended.
