Over the last few years, Ghanaian music lovers have come to love the zoblazo songs which have become the style of Ivorien musician Freddy Meiway. Between Friday and Sunday next week, music enthusiasts will be treated to this brand of music in three different cities in Ghana.
But Zoblazo is not the only type of music that Meiway sings. He has other songs which Ghanaians and audiences across Europe, America and elsewhere have grown to love.
Some of them are Eternal, La Sentence, Abenan, Nanan. Anytime time Freddy Meiway performs in Ghana, a lot of people troop to watch him and his patrons have loved his good stagecraft and more than that they have appreciated the waist wriggling of the bevy of ladies who join him on stage to dance with him.
Freddy Meiway will open his tour with a massive concert at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Friday, September 5. It will be a good thing going the way of Kumasi fans since they are going to be treated to good music.
The programme, which has been scheduled to start from 7.p.m, will feature some loveable Ghanaian artistes like Tic Tac, Slim Buster, Okomfo Kwadee, Nana Adjoa, among others.
But Kumasi is not the only place that Meiway will be performing. The second stop of the Ivorien musician with Ghanaian ancestry is the Akroma Plaza in Takoradi on September 6.
Frederic Ehui Meiway will conclude his tour of Ghana with a big concert at the La Pleasure Beach on September 7. Also to follow the concert at the La Beach will be an after party to be held at the Seven Stars Night Club at Osu.
TLC and Best of Best Records, under whose auspices and promotion these shows will run, have brought together the Octopus International Band, Sonny Achiba, Sydney, Mijamo, Kokovelli and others to support Meiway. This is one tour that will bring Ghanaian music lovers up to date with the current musical form of Freddy Meiway and his Zoblazo performers.
