Ghanaian songstress Mzbel who applauded the ruling government after they implemented free SHS plan has spoken against the treatment first-year students of the Achimota Senior High School including his son enjoy following the new policy.
According to the ’16 years’ singer, when the free SHS policy was introduced to Ghanaians, it was a good initiative the New Patriotic Party (NPP) took but it has not benefited her in any way because there are a lot of lapses.
She bemoaned that her child complains a lot to her concerning the food which is given to them at the Achimota School hence making her question the worth of the free SHS policy.
Speaking to Zionfelix on the Celebrity Ride show, she said “the free SHS is not going too well. My son is always complaining to me so every two weeks I have to send him some money because the food they give to them is bad”
“I don’t understand why form 2 and form 3 foods are prepared separately from the form 1 because they’re paying” she added
She, therefore, stressed that whenever she visits her child in school, the other colleagues of his son also complain bitterly to their parents about the poor feeding in their school so she realized her son was not the only person suffering in the school.
