Fun and Games at Golden Tulip Tennis Tourney

It was two days of family, fun and games when the Golden Tulip Hotel, Accra held its Tennis Tournament on December 27 and 28, on the hotel’s state-of –the-art courts. The two-day event opened with the adult singles tournament and training clinics for kids on day one. Mr. Zuhair Kudsay won the first prize, taking home a trophy and a free night’s stay for two in the hotel. He was followed up by Mr John Doe, who won free dinner for two persons.

The fun and games continued on Day two with another tennis clinic for the kids and the adult doubles tournament. The team of Mr. Odamtey and Mr John Doe beat off the competition to win the first prize. They had free lunch for couples each. In second place was the team of Mr. Hazem Youssef Mr. Kirpalani alias ‘Guru’. They each had a free cocktail for two persons. The team of Mr. Alex Laryea and Mr Zuhair Kudsay came third. They also won free cocktail for two persons.

On both days, the games area of the hotel was transformed into a ‘games village’ with food, cocktails, snooker, bouncing castles for the kids and music from the turntables of one of Accra’s hottest disc jockeys, DJ Snoop. The tournament was supported Allianz insurance, Interplast and Vodafone - which gave special backpacks and goodies to the children.
