When last did you troll someone on social media? What was the motive?
Was it for fun or the mere fact of doing it?
Well, trolls, cyberstalking form a part of cyberbullying which has over the time led to some devastating effects.
Defined as an aggressive, intentional act or behavior that is carried out by a group or an individual, using electronic forms of contact, repeatedly and over time against a victim, many victims of cyberbullying have had increased suicidal ideation, and a variety of emotional responses, including being scared, frustrated, angry, and depressed.
Well, I recently caught up with Ghanaian actors Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng popularly known as Funny Face and Bismark Nii Odoi also known as Bismark The Joke.
I asked them how they have dealt with cyberbullying over time especially as popular personalities.
For Funny Face, despite his welcoming nature, he has had to block some people on social media for abuse. Bismark The Joke also spoke about how such comments are hurting at times.
