Ghanaian Afrobeat artiste, Fuse ODG will be performing at Coachella Festival this weekend, livefmghana.com can report.
The new gig comes on the back of his history-making performance in India last week during the opening of the ninth edition of the India Premier league.
Fuse will be performing alongside Dancehall group, Major Lazer, who featured the former on the remix of their song ‘Light Up’.
It adds to the number of festivals including Glastonbury, Wireless and Malia Live Beach Festival in Greece that he has performed at so far.
Often referred to as Coachella Festival, it is officially known as Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. It is an annual music and arts festival held in California, United States of America. It was founded in 1999 by Paul Tollet. The event features all genres of music including Hip hop, Indie and rock, and also art installations and sculptures.
The main stages are: Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent, and the Sahara Tent; a smaller Oasis Dome was used in 2006 and 2011, while a new Yuma stage was introduced in 2013. It is powered by GoldenVoice, a subsidiary of AEG Live.
The likes of Kanye West, Jay Z, Eminem, Paul McCartney, Snoop Dogg and many others have performed at the festival.
