GHAMRO haven't paid my royalties for 18-years – Smart Nkansah

“For 18 years GHAMRO has never given me any royalties,” Highlife Great, Smart Nkansah disclosed to Kojo Preko Dankwa on Kasapa Entertainment Saturday.

According to the renowned highlife singer, he was part of those who championed the course of forming an association that they (musicians) can benefit from.

He noted that he recently liaised with the Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) to be paid his royalties but he recounted that he was denied his past accumulated arrears.

“I recently went there (GHAMRO) and they were able to pay the royalties for my topical songs but with the old ones they couldn’t pay.”
