He said these pre-conditions were vital and essential to the sustained commercial and economic growth of any country. Mr Gralla said these at a Dinner Dance held in Accra on Sunday, by GHANECC as part of activities marking the 50th anniversary celebration of Ghana's Independence.

He said by the same token the laudable achievements of Ghana in more recent times in areas of the rule of law, respect for civil liberties and respect for human rights must not be overlooked. Ghana at 50, he said was still faced with its fair share of problems including an energy crisis currently toping the list. He expressed the hope that in facing all these challenges however, a positive outlook would justify the resilience that was always shown in Ghana.
