GMA Awards 2006 Celebrates Gospel Music

The gospel message, spread through the medium of music has always held an important place in our society. Emotions which were evident on Sunday 5 March where Ghanaian gospel greats such as Kwaku Gyasi, Esther Smith, Georgia Adjei, Noble Nketsia and the dancing prophet Seth Frimpong whose songs have touched the hearts and stimulated the minds of many, graced the stage for uplifting and joyous performances.

Using his extraordinary musical talent to entertain and spread the sound of gospel, Kwaku Gyasi brought the ?house? on fire. ?Yesu Wo M?afa? by Esther Smith and a series of Seth Frimpong?s songs saw the audience lifting their hands high.

Then there was Noble Nketsia and Georgia Adjei soothing the souls of the audience with their glorious songs. International gospel superstar Sammy Okposo from Nigeria turned the whole place into a foot stomping praise-filled night of glorious gospel music.

Gospel music has been enjoyed for many decades and it?s a genre that does far more than just entertaining. It is through special events such as this that ensure it will continue to grow in its variety and sound.
