The 2016 1st Runner Up of TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful Beauty Pageant, Iddrisu Muhiba known on stage as Hiba has reiterated her resolve to embark on educational projects aimed at educating parents and their wards on the need to be well educated.
She observed that education remains one of the best legacies parents can bequeath their wards urging them not to relent in their efforts in giving off their best for the education of their children who will in turn be useful to the larger society.
At Kpenayiri, a farming community in the Western part of Bole District of the Northern Region where she distributed some educational materials, she admonished pupils to make education their topmost priority since it is the surest bet to a secured future.
Later at the Bole Girls Model Junior High School (JHS), Hiba tasked the students to learn hard and make the school proud since it is the only girls’ school in the district.
She further advised them to stay away from social vices that have the tendency of frustrating their future.
In an interaction with a section of parents and teachers, they outlined some of the challenges they are faced with in the educational sector in the area and appealed to her to use her influence in getting their concerns addressed by the appropriate authorities.
“It is good you have come at the right time, as you can see, our school is now in a deplorable state, forcing us to teach the children under trees, whenever there are signs of rain we have to close and take shelter elsewhere”, a head teacher of one of the schools disclosed.
In response, Hiba said “I am happy to meet you to deliberate on ways to improve education in this part of the district. I assure you that I will submit your challenges to the appropriate authorities to see the way forward”
