GMB2018 finalists ‘sell’ Ghana in main task for the night

As a show that is focused on presenting Ghana to the world through the display of rich Ghanaian culture, the Grand Finale of the 12th edition of TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant kick started with a task, highlighting the beautiful things Ghana has to offer.

The contestants were required to make the world “feel”, “buy’, ‘wear’ and ‘see’ Ghana through their presentations.

Brong Ahafo regional representative Ohema got the performances underway with her “Buy Ghana” sermon on the food, clothing and other indigenous things Ghana has to offer.

In her presentation, Ohema highlighted to her bride-to-be daughter some indigenous Ghanaian meals and clothing that she could make use of for her marriage ceremony.

She counseled her daughter on how she can get everything she needs for her marriage ceremony in Ghana without having to import anything.

Wekia came in after Ohema with a presentation on “Feel Ghana”, stating how football and some dishes eaten on specific days bind Ghanaians together.

The Upper East regional representative made use of pictures and videos to highlight how football, Sunday afternoon hangouts amongst other things bind the Ghanaian people.

Afrah who represents the Ashanti region came in as a tour guide taking some guests through some tourist sites in the country.

With her “See Ghana” gospel, Afrah narrated the history behind some historic sites across the country and the memories it leaves Ghanaians with, encouraging all and sundry to patronize these tourist sites.

Abena closed the main task of telling the Ghanaian story with her “Wear Ghana” presentation.

The Eastern regional representative spoke about made in Ghanaian fabrics and how they can be sewed into beautiful clothes for all occasions.

All four finalists delighted the audience at the National Theatre and viewers at home with their creative and well crafted performances on Sunday evening.

This year’s competition was under the catchphrase “This is the Life”, focused on making the contestants live the ideal Ghanaian life through our cultural heritage.
