The Ga-Adangbe traditional leadership has issued a stern warning to Afia Schwarzenegger following her comments defending the burial of the late Daddy Lumba on Ga land.

Speaking with the media on March 17, 2026, a representative of the traditional leadership expressed displeasure over what they described as insulting remarks directed at the Ga-Adangbe people.

“I don’t know who she is, but she has given out words of insult to the Ga-Adangbe people. When we finish with this very matter, we will look for where this lady resides, and we will have very good words to be given to her,” he said.

The leadership further revealed that the ongoing rumours surrounding the alleged burial have forced them to suspend a planned activity in Nungua.

‘No incentives have been received from Lumba’s family’- GaDangme leadership insists

“We want to tell you, press media and friends, that because of all these rumours going on, we are sorry to tell you that we have postponed what we intend to do today. So that we address the allegations that people have forced on Nungua and the Ga-Adangbe,” he stated.

According to the representative of the group, they will first deal with the concerns raised before announcing a new date for their intended actions.

They also maintained that if it is confirmed that the late musician was buried on Ga land without proper authorisation, the matter will not be taken lightly.

“After we are done addressing that, we shall give you a new date to witness what we will be doing regarding the illegal burial of Daddy Lumba in the soil of Nungua. It’s not permissible, the very body must be exhumed, and the place for it must be taken to,” he added.
