Ga Homowo begins from July 26

Accra, July 26, GNA - The Ga Traditional Council on Tuesday said that this year's Homowo celebrations would commence from Saturday, July 29, by the Lante Djan We through Ga Mashie and thereafter in succession to Tema.

A statement issued in Accra on Tuesday and signed by Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru, La Mantse, wished goodwill, peace and prosperity to all compatriots.

The statement said due to the yet to be performed burial of the late Ga Mantse, Nii Amugi II, the council cautioned that the festivals should be celebrated with decorum and solemnity. The statement called on all citizens to unite in prayer for the successor of the late Ga Mantse to be a worthy leader to the Ga State.
