New York US based Gospel music star, Geena K, now under 3G Media management has released her debut album; "Hwe Nea Waye" .

She is a former athlete and was superb in her track and field participation. Known as Georgina Abban, “Geena K” said she loves to sing. In praise of the maker, she has released a gospel music album because she loves to write songs to uplift the spirit and inspire people.

Read on as she tells her story;

When I was younger, nothing in my life indicated that I would be a singer/songwriter. Everything pointed to me being an athlete. I ran track for most of my life. Since I was about 6 years old through 18. I grew up in the Eastern region of Ghana, Akim-Oda .I went to Oda Secondary School(Odasco), I did track for the five years that I was in school. I won first place in the 100 meters, 200 meters and javelin for each year that I was in school. I also won 2nd place in the 800 meters and javelin for the entire eastern region.

When I started hearing tunes and lyrics in my head, I kind of brushed it off thinking it was nothing. As time went on I got more tunes and more lyrics in my head and I started writing them down. This is when I realized that making music could be a possibility for me. My inspiration was motivation. I wanted to put myself to the test and see if I could really do this.

I hope to develop myself more in the future as an artist. There's so much more about music that I need to learn. I also hope to get into acting. Acting is something that I thought about even before music. I like to entertain people and put smiles on their faces. I'm such a people person.

As a child I never sang. When I was in elementary school I was involved in the school choir, but that in no way ever made me think that I was a singer. I believe that coming out with this album was something that God wanted me to do. I say that because all the songs I've written so far were lyrics I heard in my head and wrote down. So in other words it's not something I sought out to do. What is amazing about this whole thing is that I wasn't even going to church before this album. I believe in God so I automatically attribute these lyrics to God.

"Onyame Nim"- “God Knows What's Best”. It's a motivating song. Sometimes we feel down as humans and we feel like life is hard. Sometimes, things we plan don't work out the way we would like them to. My message to those people is that God knows what's good for us.

"Agya Maba" is basically surrendering all your problems to God and believing that he will take care of your problems.

"Onyame Ye Honhom"- talks about how the God we serve is not a being but a spirit. So we basically have to deal with him on a spiritual level.
