Co-host of the award-winning show, Celebrity Fanzone on Viasat1, Chantelle Asante has expressed her disappointment with MP aspirant Mr. George Andah for certain comments he made about his rival politician Madam Hanna Tetteh while on the campaign platform last week.

Chantelle Asante, whose show has become the most influential in Ghana over the past year, also disclosed that Goerge Andah’s comments reminded her of something US Presidential aspirant Donald Trump would say.

Mr. Andah at a mini rally at Bawjiase in the Central Region last week, threw an open challenge to Madam Hanna Tetteh to introduce her husband to the constituents.

“I came here with my wife, and children. Please tell Hanna to also come and show us her husband,” he said.

Discussing this particular issue last Saturday on Celebrity Fanzone, Chantelle Asante argued that this is not the time for Mr. Andah to be making such comments.

“I was very disappointed when I first heard the story. I have met George a few times and it’s that whole thing about being unmarried making you a lesser person in this society especially when you are trying to go for contracts and all those different things. I think in this stage of the campaign, he shouldn’t be throwing those kinds of comments. It always reminds me of something Donald Trump would say,” the beautiful presenter noted.

Mr. Andah, a marketer who is widely respected, is seeking to unseat Hanna Tetteh who also serves as Ghana’s Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Minister.

He has since refused to apologize for the comments; even as some party loyalists at the Cape Coast branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have moved to defend him.

Catch a repeat broadcast of Celebrity Fanzone on Wednesday at 11am, and watch it LIVE every Saturday at 9pm, only on Viasat1.
