Netherland/Belgium-based Ghanaian music duo Rebbel Ashes and Ajoejoe have released a new single, ‘Mene Woa’ featuring Nigerian rapper and founder of Da Cream Entertainment, Ash Parule.

The catchy Afrobeat track produced by Laxio Beats sees all three artists blending in their styles to produce a pulsating joint that should have music lovers dancing and singing along.

Rebbel Ashes and Ajoejoe, who are on Da Cream Entertainment label, have been thrilling fans across the globe for years with their infectious and unapologetic music that often end up making waves in Ghana too. They can be best remembered for their witty remake or ‘diss’ versions of Sarkodie’s hit tracks such as ‘Borga’ and ‘Pizza & Burger’. Some of their other hit songs include ‘Mistake’, ‘Fa Ma Me’ and ‘Nsembo’ featuring Bradez. They promise to excite Ghanaians and fans all over the world with great new music and videos soon. Although Rebbel Ashes and Ajoejoe are often seen as a group, each of them is a complete artist in their own right.

Born Prince Kwaku Sarkodie, Rebbel Ashes has been musically active since 2000. His music styles include Afrobeats, hiplife and rap. He describes himself as the realest, who does nothing but good music. He was born and raised in a Christian home by a single mom in Kumasi, and grew up partially in Accra after his mother left for Germany. He attended Okuapemang Secondary School (OKESS) before leaving to Germany.

In Germany, he also attended Schul Zentrum Neu Stadt in Bremen. He has been living in Europe since early 2000. Ashes is not new to collaborating with other talents, he was a founding member of The Red Rowz, a rap group back in Okess together with Dr.Bizzy, Hosberga, and Ras Chechez.

While in Germany, he was a member of G.O.P. (Generation of Praise), a Gospel hip-hop group in Bremen back in 2003.He was also a member of Mpese Mpese, a rap group in The Hague (Holland) back in 2006. The singer, rapper, producer and all-round entertainer has also been doing projects with Moni Murd, another talented rapper in Belgium. It is of no wonder that he refers to himself as ‘MUSIC’.

Ajoejoe , born Alfred Opoku aka Ajoejoe also started taking music seriously sometime in the late 2000’s when he recorded his first song, H.I.V. His music styles also include afrobeats, hiplife and rap. He was born and raised in Kumasi but unlike Ashes, Ajoejoe was raised by his father with the help of his 3 older brothers, after his mom travelled to Europe when he was just 4-year old. He schooled at New Nation International School, Okomfo Anokye International School, Opoku Ware International School and Our Ladies of Apostles before also traveling to Europe.

Lagos-born William Affam alias Ashes Parule is the founder of Da CREAM (acronym for of Cash Rules Everything Around Me). He is also a rapper, songwriter, and a branding and promotions entrepreneur. He is the C.E.O of Da Cream Co. Ltd in Lagos, unisex hair care business, which also has a branch in Accra. His music style is usually Hip hop influenced and his associated acts include Andre the Future, Randy the Prince and Esco Da Don. Da Cream Entertainment was initiated in the year 2010 but established in Nigeria in 2012; and only recently introduced and registered in Ghana too.

Under the Da Cream Entertainment label, Rebbel Ashes and Ajoejoe hope to produce more good music and hits that would not only get Ghanaians across the globe dancing, but cross borders and find new fans.
