The Probe continues for Ghana @ 50.
Is it to see those who chopped money when Ghana chopped 50,
Or it is to prove that some chopped money when Ghana chopped 50?
It is with trepidation that some watch
Cos they think a plot has been hatched.
A plot to deliver “the first batch”
Whose “hands-are-in”,
For the Nsa-wam grill.
Others have got probes in orbit
But we’ve got one for audit.
That may sound like a thought from a cynic.
But with poly ticks stuck on it
What do you expect?
Who likes a dog with fleas?
But there is a bright side,
If everything is done right
Acrimonious flames will be doused

And discordant sounds and noises hushed
With this Ghana @ 50 probe
We’ll see many a robe
Lose its gleam and sheen
Well before the curtains drop on this scene.
It’s been enthralling
And it’s really offered some thrills
We’ve seen some Men become men
And others reduced to boys and babes-
Lacking coherence in thought and speech.
Its ironical, just ironical considering that these are Big Men
It seems a glint from Justice Douse’s bifocals
Or a stare from behind those bifocals
Has been with these as a snake charmer’s flute is with snakes.
It appears to me
As some other version of Money Galore,
With the Kafus and Muntakas obscured
And the Nutor Vugas stealing the show.
Within the precincts of Ghana @ 50,
The Archer has been told not to fly any arrows
He is noted for increasing people’s sorrows
For any arrows he lets fly you hear cries
-that is his hallmark.
He just got Tarzan howling.

We celebrate Nkrumah
Tis good. Tis necessary.
Our heroes deserve it.
Hope tis great things beginning to dawn
And not just someone’s political pawn.
Let’s celebrate our founders
- there are many unknown and unsung.
What would you do,
If the founder who found you
Is no longer fond of you?
Change your style,
Or be like that?
Check the deck you’ve got
And deal yourself a new hand.
If you’re losing steam
Just change your team.
