Ghana Film &Television Crew Awards calls for entries for nominations

The first ever Ghana Film & Television Crew Award was on Friday launched to start celebrating the achievements of unsung heroes- the crew men and women behind the cameras in both Ghanaian TV and movie industries.

Friday ceremony was held at the Airport View Hotel and it attracted respected film and TV personalities including veterans Asare Hackman, Kwaw Ansah, John Ezedomie, Mr. Ernest Abbeyquaye, Abrowah of Abro Media and a host of others.

The main award ceremony is scheduled for July 30 2016 and the launching event was used to call on crew members to submit their entries for the award.

Entry forms would be available at www.ghanafilmandtelevsioncrewaward.com from May 2 to May 15, 2016, when submissions will be closed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Kwaw Ansah; director, producer and CEO of TV Africa advised crew members to maintain a united front.

According to him, that was preeminent way to ensure progress as he applauded the award ceremony.

The Ghana Film & Television Crew Award is being powered by Footprint Entertainment, Epicwave Multimedia and Delpark Services in partnership with Ghana Film Crew Association- GHAFCA under the auspices of the Ghana Film Federation. It is being sponsored by Obibini Blackman Company, Voltic Mineral Water, Airport View Hotel, Food 101, Mango Restaurant and Abro Media.

It is also supported by Viasat1, Trailer TV, Multi TV, UTV, TV Africa, Ghanareporter.com and YooYoo Africa.
