Ghana Gospel Music Awards Launch Slated For Kumasi

Preparations for the third edition of the Ghana Gospel Music Awards are underway with the official launch scheduled for the Miklin Hotel in Kumasi today. The theme for this year’s event is “Sing Unto The Lord A New Song”.

Rev Eddie Eyison, the event co-ordinator on behalf of the organisers S & S Media Concepts told Showbiz that the launch will be a grand affair, an indication of what the organisers have in store for patrons at the awards night.

According to Rev Eyison, the launch will be chaired by Dr Sarfo, a medical practitioner in Kumasi. Also expected to attend the ceremony are the deputy Ashanti Regional Minister Madam Patricia Appiagyei, Professor Kofi Abraham, head of MUSIGA, Kumasi, Rev Dr Victor Osei and Mrs Judith Agyeman, CEO of Capital FM.

Rev Eyison said that this year’s awards will be an improvement over the previous ones adding that the number of awards have been increased to reward more people in the industry.

He said the date for the submission of works and that of the main event will soon be announced.

S & S Media Concepts, have promised the show will record improvement over the previous years and will open doors for Ghanaian gospel musicians on the international scene.
