Contemporary highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena, has described the current state of the Ghana Music Industry as boring.

According to the ‘Bue Kwan Mami’ hit maker, lack of creativity is a factor in making the industry dull. He added that most songs trending now are almost the same in terms of tune, lyrics and style.

Many people may not agree to this opinion of the ‘Adult Music’ hit maker because the music industry has been revamped with new faces and content especially in 2017.

The likes of Ebony, Kuame Eugene, Kidi, Adina, Patapaa and the many new and old musicians have released hit songs that are keeping the industry vibrant.

Despite this, Kwabena Kwabena in an interview with Hitz FM, believes the trending songs are just repetitive.

“When you listen to radio today, it looks like you are listening to a medley of songs produced by one producer.” “There are many songs trending, beautiful songs trending, but unfortunately, for me, they are all monotonous; they sound the same, no distinction,” Kwabena Kwabena stated.

“Why is society telling artistes the kind of music and rhythm they do in this country,” he quizzed.

Kwabena Kwabena launched his fifth album ‘Ahyesi’ in Accra some few weeks ago. His album launch, according to reports was nearly ruined when his ex-wife stormed the venue of the launch with a policeman to hunt for the ‘Asor’ hit maker.

Kwabena Kwabena is currently a brand ambassador for Vitamilk.
