The entire NPP intelligence fiasco involving Kakraba alias Kojo Mensah, the alleged NDC apologist, and the top echelon of the security agencies of Ghana and his ability to have thrown such a monkey wrench into the nation?s security and intelligence apparatus, coupled with the fact that he has been able to fleece millions of cedis (and some dollars, which they are not telling) from the Police hierarchy and to knock the heads of Interior Minister Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, IGP Nana Owusu-Nsiah, Police Operations Commissioner Dr. K. K. Manfo and National Security Coordinator Francis Poku, to the extent that they have been ?making fools of themselves? and ?disgracing themselves? on the airwaves, is a major intelligence coup d?etat for the opposition NDC because the whole affair was deliberately plotted by the NDC who deliberately fed false but credible inner core NDC intelligence to Kakraba and got him to divulge this to the NPP security and intelligence apparatchiks in a manner that they believed him and wanted to get more and therefore decided to ?run? him as their intelligence ?mole? within the NDC, a scheme that has backfired so badly on the NPP that the NPP security and intelligence hierarchy is left with eggs all over their faces?

One Alhaji Sampson who lives at Kisseman has taken over from Alhaji Musa Moctar Bamba, the disgraced and corrupt former Deputy Minister at the Presidency, as the unofficial ?Coordinator for Mallam Affairs? for President Kufuor, and that he recently played host to a Mallam from Senegal who was brought in to perform some rituals at the residences of Tourism and Modernisation of the Capital City Minister Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and Vice President Aliu Mahama, two NPP stalwarts whose loyalty to President Kufuor is suspect to wavering on account of rumour that is being mongered that President intends to drop the two of them soon, Jake as Minister and the latter as Vice Presidential candidate for this year?s elections?

One Colonel Appiah-Koranteg (Rtd.), currently based at the Flagstaff House, is operating as the NPP?s ?Chief Recruitment Officer? for recruitment into the Police Service, and that it his recruits who are being constituted into an elite corps within the Police Service referred to in derogatory and deprecating terms as ?Party Police? on account of the special training and special incentives that they receive, and is it also true that it is this ?Party Police? that the NPP intends to use to cause post-election confusion and mayhem should the NPP lose the 2002 elections?

At the recent funeral of the step mother of a leading NDC official, the wife of the Number One Citizen of the Nation actually had the temerity to sign off in the condolence book as ?Your Rival?, starting tongues a-wagging as to what could have been the basis for that claim, and greatly embarrassing the family of the deceased as well as the Number One Citizen himself?
