Ghanaian gospel singer, Cwesi Oteng, has remarked that the country has been enjoying total peace under the Akufo-Addo-led administration.

According to him, the country is full of life and Ghanaians are free to go about their daily activities without any fear.

Speaking with Natalia Andoh on Class 91.3FM, Cwesi Oteng stated: “The most exciting things I will say about the government [are] that, there is peace in the land, there is life, the country is full of life, people who are working are getting their salaries unless some people are not, or whatever, I think God is good to our country, people are doing their best that they can to see how far it goes”.

Asked to grade the President’s performance on a scale of 1 – 10, with 10 being the highest score, Cwesi Oteng said: “I'll give him 10/10, I think he’s done well, he’s stabilised the country, there are so many things I'll love to say but, I'll keep quiet”.

Cwesi Oteng, who campaigned for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) prior to the 2016 elections, described President Akufo-Addo as a great man he respects, adding that he does not care what people think about the President.

“The President is someone I respect and love, I believe he’s doing his best for the nation, he’s a great man, he has served the country with his life and Ghana will remember him for his good works. He’s one of the people who fought during the era of a military state for the country to have the right to vote to elect a President,” he asserted.
